Today we began shooting the first shots of our trailer with our actress Chrissy.
The weather wasn't great and we had to plan our shots well due to the time of year and how it
gets dark early. Despite the conditions we managed to film everything we wanted to in the time we had and that the actually rain helped with the atmosphere and tone we wanted to portray from these shots.
This is a list of the following scenes which we filmed today:
- Train scenes
- Street scene
- Bathroom scene
- Packing scene
- Old photograph scene (tears)
- Emotional bedroom scenes (crying)
- Piano music
Here are some photos we took while shooting...
First of all
we filmed at Pewsey train station. We shot these first as we knew that it would get dark quickly and we wanted it to be slightly dark but not too dark as we have less lighting than we do on any other locations. It was really wet but that didn't
put us off, it only added to the excitement and laughter of filming! Here you can some photos I have taken of the location and of Scarlet filming close ups of Chrissy.
Next we filmed some of the street scenes, which were extremely dark by this point. Some of the shots came out well however we may have to reshoot some scenes earlier in the day if the final quality.
However we got some great shots of Chrissy running in the puddles, with the reflection of the streetlight on the floor. Below you can see some pictures I took of the location and of Scarlet setting the tripod up with Chrissy keeping dry for the shoot.
Next we were back in the dry, filming shots of Chrissy packing her bags which we shot from Scarlet's bedroom. We experimented more with angles for this shot as we had more time and didn't have to worry about the weather and the effect that would have on the equipment. Here are some photos I took of Chrissy in action while Scarlet is looking at the scene from a sideshot.
Finally these photos shows the scene in which we filmed the bathroom where Chrissy had to swipe everything off the sink in frustration.

Bring on Day 2!!
