FILMING: Day 3

Today we filmed the scenes of which our two main characters meet for the first time along Marlborough High Street. We filmed during a midday today (Wednesday)  as we thought the street would be less busy, yet no so busy that it looked like nobody was about. Making sure that it wasn't so busy meant that we would have better access to our locations.

We filmed outside Costa Coffee (above) where the two characters first see each other and down the high street outside of the cafĂ© (below) where Chrissy watches him leaving and blurring into the bustling street.

It went very well as the weather was good and not raining, which meant we had a range of weathers for our trailers which add to the effect that the film is set over a long period of time. We are now continuing to edit our trailer, and only have the hospital and home scenes left to film.

FILMING: Day 2

Yesterday we did some more filming for our film trailer. We reshot some of the shots of Chrissy walking down the street, this time making sure it was lighter while filming as our other shots had appeared too dark. We also filmed Chrissy and our male protagonist (played by Luke) having an argument in the car before they are going out.

Here is a photo of myself (left) and Chrissy (right) standing with the tripod,  just before shooting the street scene.

We also filmed the argument in the car scene, where we used a hose to replicate rain on the windows and torches to mimic car headlights driving past the stationary car.

As you can see we set up one of Scarlet's parents cars with the headlights on so we could light the other car and give it the effect that it was parked by a busy road.

We used a hose on the front windscreen of the car to make it look like its raining.

This is the car we filmed Chrissy and Luke in and me looking very happy to be shooting today.

Here you can see me filming from the boot of the car in order to get the right camera angles and not only being able to see Chrissy and Luke but also see the rain at the front of the car. We also tried some shots from each front window, focusing on the actors facial expressions.

MUSIC REQUESTS: Update

After researching more of our music opinions and the likely hood of getting a response to a record label we have decided, instead of merging a number of songs together we have decided to just stick with one: 'Say' by John Mayer. We feel this fits best with our trailer and the moods/emotions we're trying to portray and get our audience to feel. We are continuing to research and try to get in contact with Mayer and his record label: Columbia.
